LPW - Elgin, Grade 71, 16J, 8S, heavy 18K gold original C.W.C.Mfg.Co. HC with exquisite enameling and engraving detail, rear with ivory and black enameled seaside scene, gold cuvette with photo bezel, white enamel SS dial, SW-LS, nickel damascene, s#514585. Gross weight of assembled watch 51.5 dwt (80.1 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: NR, fully wound and will tick briefly with a twist and occasionally will continue on for a while, overhaul needed, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, toning of plate surfaces, scattered small surface spots; visible portion of dial with scattered hls; excellent hands of mismatched color, hour and minute are plum colored, seconds-hand is blue; case shows very little wear, two dings to upper-center of front, dent to left perimeter of front, excellent engraving detail, ivory and black rear enameled scene is fully present with scattered surface scratches, black tracery enamel is substantially intact with only some small areas of loss, case front and rear open somewhat short of 90 degrees (to approximately 85 degrees and 80 degrees, respectively), cuvette photo bezel is missing its crystal; tight bow thinned at top, crown shows medium wear; good glass crystal.
